What is a Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Put simply, Patient Participation refers to patients taking an active interest in their health care providers. Patient Participation Groups or Focus Groups (PPGs) operate within GP surgeries. Priorities are developed and agreed locally in order to meet local needs and to reflect the interests and commitment of the participants.
PPGs play an important role in informing the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) via a Clinical Reference Committee made up of GP representatives for each locality in a region about the patient’s perspective on the quality, availability and provision of services. Have your input into local services by working with your practice.
Our aim is to give a patient’s perspective on the services that we provide.
We hope we can work together with you soon.
